Local church holds health fair

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Johns Chapel A.M.E. Church in Enterprise held a health fair open to the community and its members on Saturday morning.

It was a time to fellowship about an important topic — Health.

At the health fair, there was a variety of information given out. Health experts discussed fitness and eating healthy, dental needs, and mental health. The Enterprise Fire Department was also apart of the fair to discuss fire safety.

Attendees were fed breakfast as they soaked in all the knowledge about health and asked concerning questions.

Nichole Nichols, the organizer of the fair, says having all these health experts in one place is great for the community.

‘For Johns Chapel to provide an outlet for the community to come out to get some additional information they might not know, we’re doing a service to ourselves and the community,” Nichols said. “Because without health, we wouldn’t be here. We’re not gonna be here for our children, ourselves, or our parents,”

Pastor Willie White says this year’s health fair was the first one, but the plan is to have one annually.

For more upcoming community events, the church suggests the community to follow them on Facebook.
