Live at 5: Sammie Davis Jr. talks upcoming make-up concert in Ozark

News

Promoter Sammie Davis Jr. sits down with WDHN’s Paige Weeks to discuss the make-up concert in Ozark this weekend.

A three-day rodeo in Ozark was rained out last weekend. Due to rain, the concert scheduled was postponed also.

“All they have to do is bring that ticket and we will honor them. Everything that would have taken place then will take place at this one,” He said.

The concert will feature vendors, entertainment, along with the Cherokee Creek Band. The band is based out of Enterprise.

“Oh let me tell you when you hear them, you don’t wanna stop. They have music that will soothe your dancing spirit that will get you up on the floor.”

Although good music is in the air, the concert is to support local charities. Certain portions of the proceeds from the concert will be sent to those charities.

” (We are) supporting SOS Animal Shelter, Dale County Animal Shelter, Women Who Care, and Christian Mission.”

Tickets for the concert are $8 and ages six and under are free. The concert will be held at the Dale County Ag-plex Arena. Gates open at 3 p.m. with the concert beginning at 3:30 p.m.
