Lee County tornado survivor gets $10K donation to rebuild her life

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Months ago, an outbreak of tornadoes killed 23 people and injuring many more survivors.

Geraldine Reese Frazier lost seven family members and is now receiving help to rebuild her life.

“On the behalf of the Frazier’s, I’d like to give you this check and to tell you that they’re going to be there for your doing the recovery and through the emotional ties that go with that,” said Tim Toomey, managing partner with the Southeast Hearing Association.

On March 3, Geraldine Reese Frazier experienced a life-changing moment — a six-hour-and-3-minutes-long tornado swept through Lee County ripping demolishing Frazier’s home, but a remarkable event happened the days later during Geraldine’s visit to Miracle Ear.

“When I heard was going to get a donation, I couldn’t believe it,” Frazier said. “I say they hope not just telling me something.”
