The Taylor Senior Center was surrounded by law enforcement Thursday morning, but for a good reason.
Law enforcement built a bond between the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and senior citizens. They ate donuts, drank coffee and shared stories.
As a population agent, I want them to have that sense of entrustment with their law enforcement officials. It shows them the human side. They get to know the likes and dislikes.
The sense of community and partnership involved,” Amanda Henderson said.
The staff at Taylor Senior Center said they hoped to make this an annual event in the future.
