Jeffers Pet Supply holds first fall festival

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Jeffers Pet Supply wanted to make dog owners happy by holding its first fall festival Saturday.

The fall festival featured pup art for dogs to paint, local adoption shelters, free toys, essentials for owners, as well as a costume contest that their dogs can participate in.

Although it made for a good time, the pet speciality manager says the event was educational to owners.

“I’ve been a trainer for 30 plus years. I’m handing out training information, we got adoption shelters like Ozark and Dothan,” Renee Jones said. “Great people out here with adoptable dogs. We got a dog food vendor out here to explain what foods are good for your dog. It’s more about education than fun than anything else.”

Jones says the turnout was pretty good for it to be a rainy day. If you didn’t make the fall festival Saturday there may be one in the spring.
