DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It’s Christmas season which means people are buying Christmas trees and some people get them really early.
Keeping them alive until Christmas may be a problem for some people.
People who sell trees suggest to keep them in water proportional to their size and don’t have them near a hot air vent. Also, a good idea to close the curtains if the tree is near a window.
“Well, the first thing is a fresh cut on the bottom of your tree. You want to put it in water, you’ve got about an hour between the cut and getting it in water and you do not want it to go dry,” said Heidi Snell, owner of Holly Branch Farms.
If taken care of properly, the tree can last for a very long time.
