Houston County Schools are offering free counseling for their employees and eligible dependents.
The Employee Assistance Program will provide professional counseling services for personal problems that interfere with everyday living such as marital and family issues, grief, or stress-related problems.
“When tragedy happens, we always make sure that the children have counseling. Not that this school would provide it for you, but what they are doing now, they are about to provide you with free 100%, confidential counseling to address everyday life issues,” said Carol Pinkerton, Director of Client Business Development.
The service is new to Houston County Schools and they made space in the budget to cover the cost. The counseling will go into effect on August 1.
