DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A stabbing in west Dothan led to a manhunt on the east side.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday morning, 911 received a call that a person had been stabbed violently multiple times. The man suspected in the case drove off from the Nottingham Way scene towards east Dothan.

First responders got the patient to a hospital, and the latest update was that the victim would survive although the injuries were very serious.

Roger Earl Bryant is in the Houston County Jail facing first-degree “aggravated assault on a family member with a knife” charges.

Bryant reportedly left the scene of the stabbing forcing a manhunt in the 3000 blocks of Kinsey Road for over an hour.

Dothan Police Department has not commented officially on the case at this time.
