Later this year a major expansion project will take place on the New Brockton Highway 84 Bypass.
The state will appropriate more than $700,000 to build acceleration lanes.
Near the intersection of Coffee County Road 516 and the bypass.
Texas based Ben E. Keith foods will construct a large distribution point at the location.
The additional lane will accommodate 18-wheelers’ entering and leaving the facility.
“It’s vitally important to have access lanes due to the volume of trucks going in and out of the Ben E. Keith distribution plant an expansion along highway 84.”
Today the coffee county commission approved the state’s DOT plan to build the Highway 84 acceleration lane into the soon to be built food distribution plant.
