Highlands Elementary School kindergartners school WDHN anchors on weather forecasting

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — WDHN visited Highlands Elementary School kindergartners to learn all about their latest weather projects.

The students have also been sharpening their meteorology and forecasting skills and were willing to give anchors Ben Stanfield and Paige Weeks a live weather forecast.

Students showed off their seven-day forecasts and even taught about evaporation.

“So today at the weather it was stormy and it was rainy,” said Harmony Walker during her forecast. “(You) have to put on our jackets so we can get more warm.”

“When they (the clouds) get too much rain, it falls right back down,” Lucy Wilkins explained when teaching about evaporation.

Thanks so much to our friends at Highlands Elementary School for letting us visit and for teaching us all about weather!
