DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Although cookie season may look a little different this year, the Girl Scouts need your help to keep their season moving.
This year, the organization is introducing a new cookie, Toast-Yay!, which is based on French toast. This year also marks the last year customers can purchase the Girl Scout S’mores cookie.
Girl Scout troops are scattered around the Wiregrass selling cookie boxes. According to one Girl Scout official, the cookie season is providing a sense of normalcy for both the Girl Scouts as well as their customers.
“Some differences wearing masks, hand sanitizer, Lysol at booths,” said Director of Marketing & Communications with Girl Scouts of Southern AL Meghan Cochrane. “But just to be able to get out and do what they love and enjoy has really brought a lot of joy to these troops.”
