GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN) — The Alabama Department of Public Health reported the first death of a Geneva County resident attributed to coronavirus.
Numbers released Sunday from the ADPH showed Geneva County added one death with a total of 261 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases since the state began collecting data on the pandemic in Alabama.
The county’s coronavirus case count grew by four in 24 hours Sunday.
Elsewhere, Dale County also reported a new death Sunday from COVID-19. That county added seven new coronavirus cases in 24 hours.
In all, Dale County has recorded 834 total cases since March. Houston County reported an additional twelve coronavirus cases since Saturday. Coffee County added five new cases. Henry County reported four new cases in the past 24 hours, according to ADPH data.
