(WDHN) — A Geneva County man has been arrested today for stealing from a local high school.
Tommy Wayne Baxley is a Slocomb farmer and one of three trustees for Slocomb High School’s FFA’s blue chapter trust.
He surrendered to the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office this morning and was later released on bond.
Baxley was indicted for first-degree theft of funds well in excess of $2,500. If convicted, he faces a penalty of two to 20 years imprisonment for first-degree theft of property.
