Frequent Finebaum caller, toddler granddaughter killed in Highway 280 crash near Sylacauga

SYLACAUGA, Ala. (WIAT) — Frequent Paul Finebaum Show caller Tammy Bullard, 51, and her 2-year-old granddaughter were killed when a truck overturned on Highway 280 Friday morning and crashed into their SUV.

The Talladega County Coroner Shaddix Murphy confirms that Bullard and her 2-year-old granddaughter Princess Adaleigh Bess were killed in the accident on U.S. 280 Friday morning.

Bullard was a frequent caller to the Paul Finebaum show and an Auburn super fan. Her granddaughter would have turned 3 next month.

The driver of the other vehicle, a truck carrying hazardous material, was sent to the hospital by helicopter.

The accident occurred around 7:53 a.m. on U.S 280 between Sylacauga and Childersburg at mile marker 38.  Alabama State Cpl. Jimmy Harrell stated that the driver of a commercial vehicle carrying some kind of explosive material was traveling eastbound when his vehicle’s tire possibly blew and the truck overturned on its side.

Bullard would call in to support her favorite team, the Auburn Tigers, or to argue with Finebaum or callers from other fans bases and was considered a “regular” on the program.
