Florida Sex Offender Sentenced to 15 years in prison

A Fort Walton Beach sex offender was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

28 year old Matthew James Reynolds was allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a 15 year old girl.

Reynolds pled "no contest" for traveling to meet a minor for sex.

It was the victim's parents who discovered that Reynolds was soliciting the girl via the app "Kik".

According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office, Reynolds was asking the girl to send pornographic images of herself in exchange for gift cards.

After Reynolds is released from prison, he will serve another 10 years on sex offender probation and be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
