DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man is outraged after his 14-year-old son was reportedly roughed up by a Honeysuckle Middle School coach Monday.

According to a video posted online by Al Beacham, a school official said his son had to be restrained after trying to swing at someone. Beacham said his son said the coach pushed him first.

“Show me the tape,” he told the official. “I would like to see the video.”

Beacham posted the photos of his son’s injuries on Facebook, which show bruising on his face, neck, back and chest. It also appears that he sustained some scratches as well.

“That’s like a catfight between two grown men!,” he said.

The male official responded to his complaints, saying that there were no signs of abuse and that he recorded the incident. He also said the coach was trained to handle the situation.

According to the video, several people were present during the incident.

Paige Weeks is currently trying to speak to Beacham personally as well as school officials for their side of their story.
