ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise’s annual Watermelon Day will take place Saturday from 7 a.m. till Noon at the Farmer’s Market on North Main Street.
There will be plenty of produce along with arts and crafts vendors. Several competitions will take place including seed spitting, watermelon rolling, and watermelon eating.
According to Enterprise Mayor William Cooper, the farmer’s market is a great venue to hold the event.
“Its something our citizens and folks from outside the city can enjoy such as the fruits and vegetables,” Cooper said.
The Gulf Coast Watermelon Queen will preside over Saturday’s Enterprise Watermelon Day.
