Enterprise shopping center to receive a makeover

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — More than three decades after opening on the Boll Weevil Circle, an Enterprise Shopping Center is getting a new look.

A Montgomery developer is pouring tens-of-thousands of dollars in upgrades. It was long known as the Food World Shopping Center until the grocery store closed up. The center will soon be rebranded the Dauphin Plaza. Dauphin Plaza will be located across the street from Dauphin Junior High School.

Dr. Joan Newman, the financial advisor, is glad to see the shopping center upgrades. Her office has been there for 15 years.

“We’re delighted in the interest in commercial real estate. Jerome Moore of Montgomery is our new landlord and he has some
good ideas to bring an increase in foot traffic, which is good for all of us.”

Currently, there are several empty office spaces at the shopping center. The renovations include a facade with enhanced lighting and a new color scheme.
