ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — It’s almost festival season in the Wiregrass, so Enterprise hosted its second annual Boll Weevil Arts Festival.
Many people came out to see what the two-day event on Main Street had to offer Saturday. The festival usually brings tons of residents out on the big weekend.
“I try to enjoy the things that Enterprise have downtown for us,” Lauri Kleven said. “They try to keep the community active and involved, so I decided to come out.”
“My job where I work at was advertising that the festival was going on. Stuff for the kids, food, entertainment stuff like paintball,” David Patton said. “I thought it would be pretty cool to check out and see what’s going on.”
The festival had plenty of things to go on. The festival featured market vendors, train rides and games for the kids, live entertainment that you would love to hear, food and drinks that you probably wouldn’t want to miss, and of course fine art that you would love to see.
“She’s the real artist. She looked at that picture and had to freehand it all,” Carys Miller said. “Credit definitely goes to her I’m just here to help.”
Saturday attendees said it was such an artistic day, and they plan on attending again next year.
“Yeah, definitely, its a lot of fun,” Miller said.
“Yeah, I’ll definitely come back around for sure. I’m liking it,” Patton said.
The Boll Weevil Arts Festival is the first of many festivals set to take place soon in the Wiregrass.
