ENTERPRISE, Ala. — Enterprise held its watermelon festival Saturday for annual Watermelon Day.
The festival featured vendors selling their fresh produce, fun activities for all ages such as water balloon throwing, watermelon rolling, seed spitting, as well as a watermelon eating contest.
According to the people there, it was worth getting up early to attend the event.
“Who doesn’t like seed spitting?” Eric Vance said. “I enjoyed this place, its a little smaller than what I’m used to. But, people are friendly here and I enjoy this farmers market thing.”
The Watermelon Day activities brought a great crowd of roughly 1,000 people.
