WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) – A Wausau woman was put behind bars after allegedly attacking paramedics while they tried to help her.
Washington County EMS personnel found Elizabeth Bennett, 28, around 10:30 p.m. Monday, sitting on the side of the road after receiving notice of a woman that was supposedly unconscious.
When they tried to treat her, Bennet began yelling and hitting the EMT and paramedic.
Eventually, deputies arrived at the 1800 block of Fifth Street, where they found both medical personnel suffering from multiple injuries.
Bennett was charged with two charges of felony battery of emergency personnel.
