Early Head Start program celebrates last day

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Alfred Saliba Family Services Center celebrated the end of its Early Head Start summer program Friday morning.

Family and friends were invited to the send-off party. At the party, there was a petting zoo, bounce houses, a cakewalk and more.

“It’s nice how they put together the animals, the games they have the jumpy houses and they have food. And it’s for the parents to get together also and meet other parents,” Tay Reynolds

“It’s a good learning experience and he is learning how to work with others, he is learning to work with other kids his age,” Destin Martin said.

Early Head Start is for children ages 3-4. Parents interested in enrolling their children in Dothan’s head start program next school year can call head start during normal business hours at 794-4929.
