Drug trafficking arrest made in Enterprise

ENTERPRISE Ala. (WDHN)—Enterprise Police conducted a search warrant on an office around the 100 block of South Main Street Tuesday.

There they recovered 1.5 pounds of marijuana, 100 vials of THC, drug paraphernalia, and over 28 grams of liquid MDMA.

“It was uh, it’s just a liquefied form of the MDMA,” Enterprise Police Lieutenant Billy Haglund said. “I guess it’s like ecstasy.”

Wednesday police arrested Haden Smith and charged him with drug trafficking, possession of marijuana, controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia, and residents were surprised.

“It’s really surprising that something like that would happen so close to Enterprise, especially in the downtown area,” Enterprise resident Benjamin Jimenez said. “I don’t know I’m not sure, there are lower income people on one side, but it’s still so surprising to see it so near to everything.”

Not all citizens were surprised though, some believe things like this happen all the time.

“I mean, I’m really not shocked it’s just I’m really shocked to hear about it,” Enterprise resident Steven Skeen II said. “Cause you know, we all know things go on behind close doors, we all know that happens, you know.”
