DPD looks to public for help solving a murder


DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) —  On January 19, around 2 a.m. police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of West Powell Street.

When police arrived, they found Andrew Jones who was shot several times. Jones was rushed to Southeast Health where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are still searching for the person who pulled the trigger on that Saturday night.

“The case is still ongoing we are still investigating and talking with people that might have some information on this case,” Investigator Cook said.

“The reward is up close to $7000 now the district attorney has pitched in and ordered some money that someone can receive if we can get somebody arrested in this case,” Cook said.
