DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority (DDRA) and Dothan merchants will be hosting a downtown Dothan stroll this weekend.
The stroll will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Restaurants and businesses along Foster Street will be offering specials during the time and there will be live music and food vendors as well.
Mayor Mark Saliba says this should kickstart those restaurants who closed their doors due to COVID-19.
“This is a great opportunity for our local restaurants. We’re excited about that and we hoping that everybody will come down and support them from 12 to 3. The economy is coming back and they making a comeback we hope they will continue to grow and all of the Dothan businesses will be thriving real soon,” Mayor Saliba said.
Mayor Saliba says it should make for a great time outdoors since everyone has been stuck inside for the past few months.
