UPDATE: Dothan City Schools announce ‘Homecoming 2.0’; reschedules HOCO festivities

UPDATE:

Dothan City Schools announced it will extend Homecoming 2020 festivities during the week of September 28 as Homecoming 2.0.

According to the school system, Homecoming 2.0 will include new dress-up days, a second Homecoming parade as well as an outdoor pep rally.

Homecoming 2.0 will end with a matchup against Colquitt County on October 2, 2020, at 7:00 pm at Rip Hewes Stadium.

Recognition of the Homecoming Court and the crowning of King and Queen will take place at 6:30 preceding kickoff.

UPDATE:

According to Dothan City Schools Public Information Officer Meagan Dorsey, the football team is currently working to find a new opponent.

If the school is unable to locate a new opponent, all homecoming festivities will be rescheduled for next week.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Wolves’ Homecoming Game against Cairo High School has been cancelled after a player from the other team tested positive for the coronavirus.

The news was announced via the Dothan Wolves’ Twitter account Friday morning.

According to the tweet, the Wolves are looking for a new opponent to play against on Saturday, September 26.
