Dothan Police looking for Stevenson for questioning in connection to Naomi Drive murder



Dothan Police have released the name of the man who was shot and killed Sunday night in the 100 block of Naomi Drive. The victim has been identified as 27-year old Akheem Benjamin Hall.

Once officers arrived on scene, Hall was reported lying in the yard already deceased. 

According to DPD, Hall was shot twice; once in the forearm and a second time in the upper back area. Rescue responded to the scene, but was unsuccessful in life saving attempts.

Investigators responded to the scene and began speaking with witnesses. During the investigation, a suspect was identified. Dothan Police are still looking for 23-year-old Tayshawn Malik Stevenson for questioning. Stevenson is described as a black male, standing six feet tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – A person was shot and murdered on Naomi Drive Sunday night at approximately 9:15 PM. 

Dothan Police were on the scene within minutes. The victim, shot in the chest according to initial reports, died on scene within minutes of the shooting. CPR was performed for a lengthy amount of time. 
The surrounding neighborhood was distressed by the violence, and extra DPD patrol units were called to the scene to help calm the situation. Naomi Drive is located just off of South Park Avenue near the Selma Street intersection.
