DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan police have been busy the past 24 hours responding to multiple calls involving shootings and a robbery.

Including a firearm assault on North Foster Street, a hoax shooting and a robbery that happened at the Kangaroo Gas Station on Montgomery highway.

“Police responded to the 4900 block of Montgomery highway,” Dothan Police Sargeant David Saxon said. “Once they got there they determined that an armed robbery had occurred and there was three suspects that entered the store with long guns.”

Pictures from the station show four people outside the store, but police are only searching for three.

Police also responded to a prank call on Marquis Drive that reported a shooting, however it was determined that it was hoax call.

Police were able to track where the call came from and arrested Christina Prado for the call.

“We’re gonna treat every call as if it’s true, accurate, we’re gonna respond as if it’s real,” Saxon said. “A lot of times we don’t find out until after we get there that it’s not real. Or sometimes, we’ll search and have all our resources come in and make sure there’s nothing to it.”
