DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan firefighters put out a house fire on the 1300 block of Fairlane Drive Friday night.
While the fire was already out by the time WDHN arrived at the scene, the Dothan Police officer that first responded to the scene said the flames were visible from the outside.
The house is still standing, although the windows and part of the exterior is charred as a result.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Chris Etheredge, the fire may have stemmed from a kitchen fire, although they were still investigating the actual cause at the time.
The residents were inside the home when the fire first started but managed to get out when firefighters began combatting the blaze.
