DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — In a Dothan City School Board meeting Monday night, the board approved a unanimous approval of a one-time bonus for all full-time employees.
Chief Financial Officer Mike Manuel estimates that the bonuses will amount to approximately $750,000. The money will come from local funds out of the system’s operating balance.
“Our Dothan City Board of Education approved a one-time bonus. A $500 one time bonus for our certified employees and one time $250 bonuses to our support employees,” Manuel said.
The bonuses should be dispersed sometimes in December at the halfway mark of the new school year and in time for Christmas.
