Dothan Animal Shelter asking for help in annual blanket drive

News

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Animal Shelter and Adoption Center needs your help.

With their third annual blanket drive, they are asking for blankets, towels, and anything that can be used to keep the animals warm during the winter months. The shelter is always seeking gift cards, donations for spayed and neutered, adoptions and volunteers.

The center is open from 8:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m.

‘Actually with the winter coming, blankets, sheets, and towels really really help out. You know, it does get cold outside and we do go through a lot of them. I mean, you have a constant influx coming in and out of the shelter,” Denise Hammons said.

If you would like to donate, contact the Dothan Animal Shelter and Adoption Center at 334-615-4620.
