Domestic violence suspect found hiding under a blanket

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) – A man alleged of beating up his girlfriend over the weekend all throughout the night is found hiding under a blanket before he was taken into custody.

Sunday morning, the Washington County Sheriff Office SWAT team responded to a call on U.S. 90.

There they discovered the domestic violence suspect, 45-year-old Scotty Dupree, hiding under a blanket in a bedroom after he allegedly had barricaded himself inside the residence.

Dupree had to leave his ‘blankie’ behind and was taken to a local hospital before being booked in the Washington County Jail.

Dupree faces charges including felony battery by strangulation, aggravated felony battery causing bodily harm and false imprisonment.
