District attorney aims for bond revocation

News

Prosecutors filed a motion asking the courts to revoke bond for one of the two men charged in a September 2018 murder on Pettus street.

Dentavious Jamal Givens, 24, of Dothan is facing murder charges for the beating death of Neal Craft Barber. Houston County District Attorney Pat Jones asked the court to revoke Givens’ bond due to a violation of bond conditions.

Givens was released from jail on a $150,000 bond with conditions set to include, the defendant was to maintain lawful behavior, and have no contact with the victim’s family.

Jones’ motion stated Givens has violated his bond condition by placing himself in a situation where he has taken a job with a relative of the victim.
