DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Disabled American Veterans are looking for volunteer drivers for the VA volunteer program.

The Chapter has a van downtown that is used to help disabled veterans around town getting them from one place to another. In order to become a volunteer driver, you must go to the DAV office and fill out an application that will be processed in Montgomery.

“If there’s someone in the community that wants to give a day or two a month as a driver, as a volunteer driver. I have applications here in the office for volunteer drivers. That program is run by the VA volunteer program,” Commander Daniel Blackman said.

You must have a good driving record and be a good help to volunteer drive.
