Daleville prepares for annual Scarecrow Festival & Activities in Culpepper Park

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Daleville is preparing for its annual Scarecrow Festival & Activities in Culpepper Park.

On Saturday, Oct. 31, several events will happen including a car show, food vendors, games, and a costume contest.

One of the biggest events will be Trick or Treat in the Park.

“During the Trick or Treat in the Park, starting about dark time, we’re saying six o’clock until about 7:30, we’re going to have the singing pumpkin,” said Michelle Powell, Executive Director of Daleville Area Chamber of Commerce. “People can bring a blanket, sit out, they can social distance and just watch the show.”

October 31st Scarecrow Festival & Activities in Culpepper Park (across from Bojangles)

  • 1st Annual Car Show 12pm-3:30pm (Registration 12pm-1:30pm. Judging begins 1:00pm. $10 Entry Fee. 14 classes competing to win cash and prizes)
  • Scarecrow Festival in the Park 1pm-5pm (Vendors-Food, games w/ prizes, arts & crafts, pony rides. WKMX live remote 3pm-5pm)
  • Costume Contest 4pm-5pm (Ages 2-12 yrs. Free to enter. No registration required. Trophy & Medal for winners
  • Trick or Treat in the Park 5pm-8pm (Anyone can come and set up to hand out treats. No registration required)
  • Singing Pumpkin Show 6pm-7:30pm
