Daleville City Schools welcome new superintendent

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — New beginnings are in store for Dr. Lisa Stamps.

The veteran educator began her tenure as the superintendent for Daleville City Schools. Dr. Stamps recently served as principal of Elvin Hill Elementary School in Columbiana.
Holmes taught at both the college and high school levels.

Last year, Daleville’s A.M Windham Elementary School performed poorly on standardized testing. According to Dr. Stamps, her decisions as superintendent will always be based on what is best for the students.

“Always with the thought of trying to make an improvement with the system and offering the best that we can possibly offer,” Stamps said.

Stamp’s first priority is to take an overview of the school district and accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.
