DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Crossfire Gymnastics and Cheer Center held a drive-thru parade Saturday evening.
The coronavirus pandemic has thrown a curve in their routine, but they still wanted to have fun in a safe socially distancing way.
Around 10-15 cars filled with happy children cheering and waving at their instructors came through the parade route.
For one coach, it was her last time to see the kids and she says it felt great.
“So, I won’t be here this summer. I’ll be transferring to a university in the fall and I have gone to see these kids three to four days a week to not being able to see them anymore. So, getting to see them with all the smiles and excitement makes me feel really good,” Gymnastics Coach Grace Poynter said.
The parade went on for about 45 minutes.
