SCAM ALERT: Credit card skimmer found at Inland gas station

HARTFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — The Hartford Police Department is asking citizens to be on the alert for credit card skimmers in their area after was found at a local station.

According to the police department, a skimmer was found Monday at the Inland gas station off Main Street. This has prompted police to warn anyone that got gas there in the past month to keep an eye on their transactions to catch any suspicious activity.

For the Inland Corporation’s part, the police department said they have been “extremely cooperative.”

If you do find that your account has been illegally accessed, the Hartford Police Department asks that you contact them. They can be reached by phone at 334-588-2222.
