Cottonwood postpones next two football games due to COVID-19

COTTONWOOD, Ala (WDHN) — According Houston County Schools Superintendent, David Sewell, Cottonwood High School has postponed their next two football games and their volleyball matches due to COVID-19.

About 10 students or faculty members have tested positive for the virus and due to the exposure, that is why the school has gone ahead and postponed the activities.

Those who have been sent home to quarantine after being exposed have not tested positive for the virus.

Their football team was scheduled to play regional games at Houston County Friday and then home against G.W. Long next Friday.
