Congressman Byrne discusses campaign, impeachment talks

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Congressman Bradley Byrne was campaigning in Enterprise Thursday. He talked about issues Republicans face for the 2020 race.

“Well, we’re doing this all over the state of Alabama from Tennessee Valley all the way down to the Wiregrass to southwest Alabama and all through the entire state,” Congressman Bradley Byrne said. “Meeting with any group that wants to talk about these issues for the 2020 race.”

Byrne said he thinks President Trump’s impeachment inquiry is illegitimate and there are problems within the inquiry itself.

“So Nancy Pelosi and the people who do her bidding can do whatever they want, but we can stand up and protest every step of the way and continue to point out the problems in what they’re doing,” Byrne said. “I do not think that there’s any chance the senate is going to remove the president from office.”

Byrne supporters showed up at the local Po Folks early to hear Byrne speak. Byrne preached fighting for his supporters’ values in Alabama.

Byrne’s supporters believe strongly in his mission.

“He’s going to go back to Washington as a senator and fight for us every bit as hard as he has as a representative,” Supporter Elaine Ridenour said.
