DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — New Dothan High football coach Smitty Grider spoke to Dothan Rotarians on the upcoming season Monday.
Coach Grider previously coached at Hazel Green High School where he had a 111-49 record.
Grider is excited about the upcoming season, but he believes the biggest challenge is getting staff on board.
“You know they’re not available on a day to day basis. We’ve been working with the kids 2 days a week after school, so that has been challenging due to the schools combining,” Grider said. “Getting the staff in order is number one problem.”
The Dothan High School Wolves will begin the season in a few weeks as they play against the Hoover High Bucs on May 18th at Rip Hewes Stadium.
