Canceled school drive leaves Headland resident upset

HEADLAND, Ala. (WDHN) - A planned back-to-school drive canceled just one day before the event has one Headland resident livid.

Cynthia Reed reserved the Headland Housing Authority community room back in June to host a back-to-school drive.

Thursday night she received a text message saying the event can no longer happen, and Reed wants to know why.

Executive Director Carie Magill said this was not a personal attack.

Due to prior events, the space will no longer be rented out, and all residents who have reserved a  space will receive their deposits back.
