ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise shoppers will have the chance to get some bargain prices leading up to this weekend.

A Back-to-School bash, sponsored by the Downtown Enterprise Business Association, will be held this Friday, starting with an opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the Boll Weevil Mural downtown. The ceremony will feature local high school cheerleaders and mascots joined by the Enterprise State Community College Boll Weevil.

“We have a lot of great places to shop downtown that do provide school items and back to school clothing and shoes and that sort of thing,” said Regena Lacey, Downtown Enterprise Business Association president. “Certainly we want you to come here and not just go to the big box stores to shop and come and see some of the unique things that downtown Enterprise has to offer for back to school shopping.”

There will also be a live DJ, clothing models and refreshments for as shoppers enjoy the new tax-free prices.

“Local businesses encourage everyone to shop local, and come to downtown Enterprise for a fun and tax-free shopping experience,” a release from the association states.

The stores will stay open until 9 p.m.
