ASHFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — Rubble and ashes are what is left after a fire destroyed one of the Eastern Technology buildings in Ashford.

It happened after 9:30 pm on Tuesday evening and both  Ashford and Dothan fire squad were both on the scene but still, there is not a defiant answer of what caused the fire.

Employees were able to save some files, office supplies, and some clothes but according to fire Chief Jimmy Posey, the building will most likely have to be demolished.

That building very heavily damage but I can’t speak for them, but they will probably have to replace it, Posey said.

Even though the building is gone employees that worked at the building will not be out of work and the business will remain open in Ashford.

I already understand that they are already moving into a new facility here in Ashford, so they will set up a temporary facility in all to get some stuff done, Posey said.

No one was hurt from the fire and the fire is currently still being investigated.
