ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) – Enterprise Police say a woman abducted her nine-month-old child early Tuesday morning. Police say the abduction happened when the mother forced her way into the home of a court-appointed guardian and took the baby.
Enterprise Police were dispatched and found the suspect and child at the Dollar General on Highway 167 North around 9:00 a.m.
According to a news release, Lt. Billy Haglund said: “The child was found unharmed and released to the custody of the guardian.”
Dayse Katlyn Pritchard, 26, of Enterprise was arrested and charged with 2nd degree burglary and interference with child custody.
“An additional arrest was made when detectives discovered narcotics in the vehicle Pritchard and the child were travelling in,” the release stated.
According to police, Antonio Fidel Stanfield, 60, of Enterprise was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Pritchard and Stanfield are both in the Coffee County County Jail.
