Armed robbery on Ussery Street; suspects still at-large

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Early Friday morning, Dothan police were dispatched to south Ussery Street in reference to a person being shot.

The victim was in a vehicle when approached by two unknown suspects who tried to get into the car. It is being investigated as a robbery attempt and it appeared that they were trying to get his car.

“The victim got out of the car and took off running, and when he did, he was shot in the buttocks. The victim was transported to the hospital and has got a moderate injury to the buttocks and the hip area,” Lt. Doug Magill said.

Police say the suspects are still at large.
