DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Alabama Department of Health started a new series of COVID-19 testing at the Houston County Health Department.
Much like the previous testing sites, patients must meet the requirements such as a fever, consistent cough, and any other symptoms of the virus.
Wednesday’s site tested a little over 40 people during the three hours of testing.
ADPH Southeastern District Administrator Corey Kirkland gave us the latest on the numbers at each site around the Wiregrass.
“Our site in Pike County we didn’t have any positive results. In Dale, we had visitors from 3 or 4 counties that came and had several positive tests that came out of it. Overall we had about 35 to 40 positives out of 350 tests,” Kirkland said.
Kirkland says there will be consistent sites through the rest of May. Every Wednesday testing will be taking place in Houston County.
