(WDHN) — The Alabama Department of Corrections is looking into another inmate’s death this week.
A correctional officer found Elvin Burnseed, 53, unconscious in his cell Monday at William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility. They tried to provide medical care in the prison’s infirmary, but it was too late.
Burnseed was declared dead at around 3:58 p.m. He was in prison for life for committing first-degree robbery in Houston County.
