29-year-old Clay County man killed in Thursday’s storms by falling tree

LINEVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — Lineville Police Chief Shane Dunagan says a man died Thursday afternoon during the strong storms when a tree fell on his vehicle. 

Dunagan tells CBS 42 officers responded to a vehicle accident on Martha Street around 3 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, police saw a tree had fallen on the vehicle.

The 29-year-old male driver was the only person in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
