DRUG ARREST: $200,000 worth of meth recovered in Dothan investigation

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan police have finished an ongoing investigation into the trade of methamphetamine around Dothan and Houston County.

The DPD Vice Unit arrested Jordan Skylar Thompson, 28, of Galaxie Drive after executing a search warrant at the 1400 block of E. Selma Street.

A release from the department states that police found 2.5 kilos (5.5 pounds) of meth in the home, which is said to have a street value of $200,000. Police also found “a small amount of synthetic marijuana, paraphernalia used for drug trade, and a handgun.”

Evidence recovered from investigation

Thompson has been charged with drug trafficking Methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance (synthetic marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

His bond will be set sometime Friday morning.
